Description
NAICS Code: 541380 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency [U S EPA] the Office of Water's Engineering and Analysis Division (EAD) intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items and FAR 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation provisions, offers the best value to the Government. The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire analytical procedures specified by the EPA Project Officer in the Analytical Requirements Summary (see Statement of Work) to determine the presence and concentration of pollutants in wastewater, soil, sediment, pulp, sludge, and other environmental samples. The laboratory will be required to analyze at most 32 wastewater samples for Tetra-Octa Dioxins and Furans by Method 1613B and at most 14 samples for Chlorinated Biphenyl Congeners by Method 1668A in support of the Chlorine and Chlorinated Hydrocarbon (CCH) Study. Additional samples will be addressed if needed. These samples will be collected in two episodes, 6542 and 6543. Also require is to provide support for the verification of analytical methods that may be used by EPA and provide qualified personnel, facilities, and equipment. Vendor must provide Federal Tax Identification Number, Dun and Bradstreet Number, and Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for award. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541380. Any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may request a copy of the RFQ and submit a response which, if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is above $50,000.
