- Tree Thinning and Timber Stand Improvement, Bitterroot National Forest. This contract is for tree thinning, timber stand improvement, and fire line construction services. It is a Performance-Based, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base and 2 (two) option years. Minimum guarantee to Contractor is $10,000.00 of services per year for each base or option year exercised in acordance with the terms of the contract. Maximum quantity of services not to exceed $500,000.00 total accumulation of all services performed under the base year and any option items exercised by the Government. Acres to be treated each year are estimated between 100 - 1,500 acres per year. Work will be ordered by the Government by issuance of task orders which will outline specific treatments for the units. The solicitation will be available on approximately March 23, 2007, and can be downloaded from this site at that time.MODIFICATION TO NOTICE (APRIL 16TH): This is confirmation that a pre-proposal conference will be held starting at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 20th at the Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor's Office in Hamilton, MT. The meeting will commence at the office and interested contractors will have the opportunity to join Forest Service representatives for a field visit to facilitate discussion regarding work under the contract. If you will attend the field visit, you will be required to provide your own transportation and safety equipment(i.e. hardhat, etc.). MODIFICATION TO NOTICE (APRIL 17TH): Proposals are due at 15:30 hrs (3:30 P.M.) on May 7th, 2007. Response date was inadvertently changed and the May 7th date is correct. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (17-APR-2007).
