Description
The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Aurora Biomed Inc. for the following items: 1) Ion channel reader 8000, #8000-ICR-1000, 2) Data Station, #8000-DS-1000, 3) ICR Reader 8000 Starter Kit, #8000-SK-0055, 4) Hollow Cathode Lamp, #8000, HCL-Rb, 5) Air compressor, #1000-AC-0020, 6) installation, training, 1 year warranty and shipping/handling charges. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The cited authority is applicable because after a market search Aurora Biomed is the only source that can fulfill the requirements of this contract. Delivery is 90 days ARO. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 334516 and the size standard is 500. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR, Part 6, Competition Requirement.
