- Design services are required to prepare schematic design concepts (15%) preliminary drawings (35%), design development (60%), preparation of final construction documents including cost estimates (100%), selected construction period services, post construction services, and other typical tasks related to these services for Project 534-07-109ES "Electrical Vault Expansion Building-Substation" at the VA Medical Center, Charleston, SC. The proposed construction will provide a structure to house the VA Medical Center's primary power substation out of the flood plain the intent of which is to design a structure to house a new fully functional substation. Approximate facility footprint is 2,000sf. Disciplines involved include but not limited to; Geotechnical, Deep Foundation, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, Facility Power Transformation/Distribution, Fire Protection/Alarm, and Mechanical.. Selection will be based on the following evaluation factors (1) Specialized Experience and Technical Competence, (2) Professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to project, (3) Past performance on Government contracts (4) Geographic Locations of the Working Office and other appropriate evaluation criteria. Estimated construction is between $1,000,000.00 - $2,000,000.00.Consideration is limited to concerns located within a 150 mile radius of VAMC Charleston, SC. NAICS code for this procurement is 541310. This notice is issued subject to the availability of funds and is not a request for proposal.
