- (I)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; pr oposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) Solicitation W912JB-07-T-4015 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. (III) This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through F ederal Acquisition Circular 2001-12. (IV) This acquisition is reserved for a small business concern. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 332323, standard industrial classification 3446, small business size 500. The Combined Synopsis/Solici tation is W912JB-07-T-4015. (V)COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION: Furnish all personnel management, licenses, tools, supplies, equipment, labor and all other items to provide: (1) KC-135 Aluminum Wing Maintenance Stand, Container Research Corporation, P/N 592E00 1-1, -2 or equal, Dim:60.00 ft long x 8.33ft wide x 9.75ft high, quantity needed is 1 Ea. Set consists of one right hand and one left hand stands. (2) KC-135 Aluminum Dry Bay Maintenance Stand, Container Research Corporation, P/N 630E001 or equal Dim: 21 ft long x 5 ft Wide x 8ft high, quantity needed is 1 Ea. (3) KC-135 Aluminum Cargo Door Maintenance Stand, Container Research Corporation, P/N 654E001 or equal Dim: 217 inches long x 144 inches wide x 114 inches high, quantity needed is 1 Ea. Unit consist s of removable railing on the side for off loading railings (4) KC-135 Aluminum Nose Maintenance Stand, Container Research Corporation, P/N 637E001 or equal Dim: 337 inches long x 240 inches wide x 114 inches high, quantities needed is 1 Ea. This unit must separate at the centerline. Period of Performance is 60 days ARO. (VII) Place of Performance: Selfridge ANG Base, MI. 48045, FOB POINT IS DESTINATION. (VIII) The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: 52.211-6 BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (AUG 1999) (a) If an item in this solicitation is identified as brand name or equal, the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government's needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that equal products must meet are specified in the solicitation. (b) To be considered for award, offers of equal products, including equal products of the brand name manufacturer, must-- (1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; (2) Clearly identify the item by-- (i) Brand name, if any; and (ii) Make or model number; (3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and (4) Clearly de scribe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications. (c) The Contracting Officer will evaluate equal products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer is not responsible for locating or obtai ning any information not identified in the offer. (d) Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an equal product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation.
