- AMENDMENT 001: The closing date of this synopsis is 26 June 07 in lieu of 26 July 07 as written in the Notice of Intent. This requirement is officially closed. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Heidelberg, USA, Inc., 1000 Gutenberg Dr. NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144-7028 for the following supplies for Heidelberg Quickmaster, Direct Image Pro Offset Presses, Model 46-4, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Requirement: CLIN 0001 Blanket w/Bar, CN2000290 8 boxes, CLIN 0002 Plate Cylinder cleaning cloth rolls 24 boxes PN A4.207.801 F/03, CLIN 0003 Moss Rubber (3 meters ea=18m) 2 each PN 004720097, CLIN 0004 Fluorescent Lamp 8 Watt Fa, 8 each CLIN 0005 Starter Switches, PN 42.117.133, 5 each CLIN 0006 Hickey Remover, PN A1.203.006/03, 32 each CLIN 0007 Pearl Dry Plus waterless plates for DI 46-4, 24 boxes PN SU 45CN200851 These items must be purchased from Heidelberg USA because the items are specifically made for the Heidelberg 46-4 DI Presses at Ft. Bragg. The current presses have been in use for the past four years and purchasing the correct equipment to keep them maintained will allow an even longer life. Any other item other than what is listed above may allow the risk of damage to the presses. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses are due no later than Tuesday, 26 July 2007, 12:00 PM EST. Interested organizations may submit information for consideration of their capabilities and qualifications to Valaida J.
