- Region 6 of the Forest Service and the Oregon Office of the Bureau of Land Management are in need of fungal surveys to locate and identify rare fungal species within areas delineated by the Government. These areas will include habitat for historic sites of known rare species. The Contractor will document the presence or absence of target species and their locations and monument validated sites in compliance with the specifications, precision, and terms and conditions of this contract. Depending on the item bid, the Contractor will provide survey and expert identification (item 1) or survey only with Government provided verification (item 2). The Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals (except those designated as Government-furnished) necessary to perform the work. This includes but is not limited to plastic flagging, field notebooks, identification keys, books, and materials, marking pens, compass, clinometer, binoculars, GPS unit(s), chemicals, and microscope. All work will occur in Oregon, mostly west of the Cascade Crest. Specific locations include Salem BLM, Siuslaw National Forest, Willamette National Forest, and Deschutes National Forest in the north; and Medford BLM, Roseburg BLM and Siskiyou National Forests in the south (see Vicinity Map(s)). The location of the survey areas, access to the areas, and other information pertinent to this contract are contained in the Vicinity Maps, which shall be considered as part of the technical specifications. All work will be performed between September 1, 2007 and September 1, 2009. The solicitation package will be available on FEDBIZOPPS on or about July 13, 2007.
