- This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to NAL Research Corporation. The Office of Investigative Technology (ST) has a requirement for (50) each of the following: Low-Power Satellite Trackers, Dual Iridium-GPS Antennas (12 feet) and DC-DC Converters. NAL Research Corporation is currently the only vendor capable of providing an Iridum based tracker/emergency alert device that is viewable on DEA Centralized Tracking System (STS) server. Our investigation has found no other vendor that can satisfy the requirement. As a result it has been determined that NAL Research Corporation is the only responsible source to provide the necessary equipment. NAL Research Corporation is the manufacturer of the Iridium 9601 DGS-LP modem.
