Description
Operational Contracting, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, intends to award a Brand Name requirement to for: CLIN 0001: 4 EA., ENF-PA Rhino ?Laryngofiberscope, PN: 1112232. 3.6mm diameter, 30cm working length, 85 degree field of view and angulations of 130/130 Degrees (up/down), include MB-156 ETO venting cap. CLIN 0002: 1 EA., ENF-GP Portable Rhino ?Laryngofiberscope, PN: 1113308, 85 Degree field of view, 300mm working length, Angulations of 130 degrees (up/down). Includes MAJ-900 Light Guide Adapter (light guide cable not included), MB-156 ETO venting cap. *Optional miniature light source (MAJ-922) must be purchase separately. CLIN 0003: 1 EA., MAJ-922 Rechargeable Miniature, PN: 1113310 CLIN 0004: 1 EA., K10002185: B-90su NI MH Battery and Quick charge. This will be a Brand Name Only purchase utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Olympus Surgical America, One Corporation Drive , Orange burg, New York 10962. This acquisition intends to meet the agency needs utilizing the Rhino ?Larngofiberscope as the required instrument by the USAF 10 Medical Group Ears Nose and Throat Clinic professional staff. The Government has determined this is the instrument required in determining patient-to-patient treatment, the Olympus Surgical America Rhino ?Larngofiberscope provide the best overall outcome for patients care. These scopes are part of a standardization initiative providing scopes with superior optics, highly flexible shafts providing greater range of motion. The scopes have greater reliability and durability in the hash environment of the Steris System used for cleaning. The Clinic staff have been trained and have experience with the Olympus. Use of others scopes may lead to an increase in health and safety risk, due to a lack of experience with other equipment. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Any responses not received by 06 July 2007, at 1200 hours, Mountain Time Zone, to 10th ABW/LGCB, Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315, and any offers received after this date and time will be considered late in accordance with 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
