Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting & General Services Office in Portland, OR have a requirement at the Modoc National Wildlife Refuge at 5364 County Road 115; Alturas, CA 96101 to procure a new tilt-bed trailer. Selection process is "Best Value" (In addition to price, the USFWS is considering following evaluation factors: Past performance; Special features of the supply required for effective program performance; Probable life of the item selected as compared with that of a comparable item; Warranty considerations; Maintenance availability; and Delivery terms). All shipping/freight charges should be included in the pricing as F.O.B. Destination. Suggested Brand Name: Gem State Manufacturing, Inc. - Model no. 2007 Trailmax TRD-54-FBR or EQUAL. In addition to the suggested brand name, a description of the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that an "EQUAL" item must meet to be acceptable for award: Salient Factors for new Trailer: 55,080 lb capacity; Triple dual axles; 24' x 102" deck; 100,000 lb capacity adjustable pintle hitch; Air brakes; 17.5" Tires; Oil bath hubs; 14 load securement 2-way chain slot/stake pocket system; Safety chains - 2 each 3/8" x 36" grade 70 high test cadmium plated with slip hooks and safety latches; 2" fir decking; Lockable lid tool compartment in tongue area; 2 speed landing gear; and 35,000 lb capacity.
