- *General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Specifications and Drawings will be available in Adobe PDF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. *Proposed Issue Date: July 25, 2007 *Title of Project: Yorktown Waterline Installation *Description: This project is set-aside for small business. The project is located at the Colonial National Historical Park (COLO), Yorktown, VA. The work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals necessary to install a 4-inch fire main, including a 4-inch fire department connection, and a 2-inch domestic waterline for the COLO Yorktown Curatorial Facility. *Type of Procurement: This procurement is limited to firms who are currently listed as being pre-qualified by the Newport News Waterworks, and meet the SBA standard as a small business. The Government anticipates award of a firm, fixed-price contract requiring submission of information about an offeror's past performance, its technical capability and its price. The Government will consider an offeror's past performance and its technical capability in comparison to its price. *Estimated price range: less than $100,000.00. *Time for completion: 30 calendar days after notice to proceed. *Proposal receipt date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time proposal documents are available. *All responsible small businesses may submit a timely offer that will be considered. The National Park Service encourages participation of disadvantaged, veteran owned business enterprises. *In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors may be asked to register their company with the Central Contractor Registration, website www.ccr.gov. Be prepared with your company's Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN) and DUNS number, available free of charge from Dun & Bradstreet at 1- 866-705-5711. *Facsimile offers will NOT be accepted.
