- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources for the manufacture, test/inspection, and production of the GFK-21A/E32K-7 Loader, Box Magazine, Ammunition P/N: 3141AS798-2, NIIN: 01-547-5718 --- hereafter referred to as the LALS III Loader. The LALS III Loader is to be used as ground support equipment by Navy and Marine Corps personnel. The LALS III Loader will store and load 20mm ammunition at shore based locations, as well as at sea aboard CV/CVN ships. The LALS III Loader will be compatible with the GFU-24/E32K-7A Transfer System, Ammunition Replenisher 20MM P/N: 3305AS1400-1, NIIN: 01-536-8673 --- hereafter referred to as the LALS III Replenisher. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract consisting of a one (1) year base with four (4) production periods. The required basic quantity is for two (2) Preproduction or First Article Units and thirteen (13) Production Units. The Government intends to procure up to sixty (60) additional LALS III Loaders. The Government also intends to procure up to four hundred and fifty five (455) Tensioner Assembly Kits, (in accordance with Drawing Packages 3305AS1700-1 and 3305AS1727-1); and up to four hundred and fifty five (455) Conveyor Assembly Kits, P/N 3305AS1600-2. These kits will be used to update United States Air Force LALS models (currently operating in the field) to meet the requirements of the LALS III Loader. Interim Support Items and technical data requirements will also be procured as applicable. This procurement is a 100% Small Business set aside. Award will be based upon best value evaluation criteria and granted to the offeror whose proposal is determined to be most beneficial to the Government. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Once on the web page, select Doing Business and then select Open Solicitations. Be sure to monitor the web page for the solicitation and any amendments because hard copy solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web, on or about 15 July 2007. The Government will not accept electronic offers. Interested Firms should request a copy of the Drawing Package. NOTE: THIS DRAWING PACKAGE CONTAINS TECHNICAL DATA WHOSE EXPORT IS RESTRICTED BY THE ARMS EXPORT CONTROL ACT AND AS SUCH INTERESTED FIRMS MUST INCLUDE WITH THEIR REQUEST FOR THE DRAWING PACKAGE A CERTIFIED COPY OF DD FORM 2345, MILITARILY CRITICAL TECHNICAL DATA AGREEMENT.
