- SUBJECT: Request for Information (RFI) for Web Design Services THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This is a Request for Information (RFI). This RFI is in support of a market survey for sources sought being conducted by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC). This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals. The information requested however, may be used,in determining whether we will issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ). However, the USITC reserves the right to not issue a RFQ. The United States International Trade Commission?s (USITC), Office of Information Technology Services host a website for disseminating information to the public. The USITC is seeking the expertise of a professional web design firm to assist us with enhancing the agency?s Internet and Intranet sites. This redesign/layout effort primarily focuses on ensuring that our site is 508 compliant, conducting usability testing, incorporating consistent navigation, updating the look/feel, and creating templates to easily incorporate into our content management system. The USITC is soliciting comments from interested parties who would be able to provide services to assist us with completing the re-designing of our website. The initial stages have already begun and we are seeking assistant with the final stages of the project. The USITC is seeking sources who possess the capability and relevant experience to provide the above mentioned web design services and competitive pricing. This solicitation for information is extended to GSA Scheduled Vendors only. The following information shall be addressed in your response: 1.) The web design contractor should be familiar designing website with content management systems (CMS) . Please discuss your familiarity with web design, usability testing, consistency in site navigation and layout, creating templates with a CMS in mind. 2.) The web design contractor must exhibit extensive knowledge of 508 compliancy rules for government website. Please discuss applications used in developing your work product. 3.) The web design contractor will possess no less than five years of web design experience and must present a comprehensive portfolio of their most recent projects. Please provide a list of government agencies and/or commercial references for which you have provided web design services. 4.) The response must discuss the contractors approach to web design, design philosophy, work processes and the designer-client interaction process. All information provided shall be typed in Word format in 20 pages or less. All responses to this RFI are on a voluntary basis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. All work produced by the graphic designer contractor for the USITC will become the property of the USITC.
