- Description
- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to Renovate Psychiatric Ward 59A, Project 542-307 at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. Contractor should be qualified in hospital renovation to minimize the impact on the day-to-day operations of the Medical Center. The scope encompasses the complete renovation of the existing Level A (First floor - approximately 17,500 sq ft) into a psychiatric ward. The project includes but is not limited to general building construction, alterations and renovations, mechanical and electrical work, patient care furnishings and equipment, necessary removal of construction waste, asbestos abatement, demolition and certain other items. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The completion time is 365 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed. The new work shall meet all applicable VA criteria, life safety codes and Uniform Building Codes. The estimated cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. The pre-bid meeting will be held on 7/9/07 at 1:00 p.m. All interested parties shall report to the Facilities Engineering Conference Room in Bldg. 70 by 1:00 p.m. promptly for the meeting. Requests for bid packages for solicitation number VA244-07-IB-0003 must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer indicating the solicitation number and be accompanied by a refundable check in the amount of $100.00 payable to the VAMC - Agent Cashier prior to receiving the package. All written requests must include your complete mailing address, a specific point of contact, and telephone and fax numbers. Solicitation packages will be available for pick-up on or about 06/29/07. There are a limited number of solicitation packages available and will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis. Drawings and specifications must be returned to the Acquisition Management Section at the VAMC, Coatesville, PA no later than 8/8/07 for refunds. All requests for information must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer by 7/11/07 at 3:00 p.m. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Sealed bids are due at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Building 19 North, Coatesville, PA by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2007.
