Description

Statement of work for Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - The incumbent will perform routine diagnostic Radiologic examinations on patients at the Manchester NH VA Medical center. The incumbent will be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and be a member in good standing of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The hours for this position will be Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with the possibility of on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The incumbent should have experience on a wide range of equipment including but not limited to; Fuji computed radiography and Philips digital fluoroscopy systems. Strong computer skills and a previous knowledge of the Veterans Information System (VISTA) are a plus. Examinations will be performed in the main Diagnostic Imaging Department, Urgent Care, Nursing Home Care Unit, and the Operating Suite. Exam complexity ranges from simple outpatient exams to assisting with minimally invasive procedures requiring knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control procedures. Some heavy lifting of patients and equipment may be periodically required.
