- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Replace Building 5 Boiler at USDA-ARS-MWA, ADOL, E. Lansing MI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the replacement of the existing boiler. The project generally consists of the installation of a new natural gas steam boiler, associated control panel and accessories for the replacement of the existing boiler serving Building 5. The Owner shall remove the existing boiler from the building. The project shall include, but is not limited to, modification / extension of combustion air damper, flue, make-up water piping, steam piping, condensate piping, conduit/wiring, etc and final connection to provide a complete, properly operating steam boiler system. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 to $100,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238220 and the annual size standard is 13 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-07-AA09 is scheduled for uploading on or about July 17, 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Sealed bids will be due by 2:00 PM on August 16, 2007. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
