- Description
- This construction project consists of reconstructing the Salt Creek Bridge, No. 70048-0.8, located in Bear Canyon on the Spanish Fork Ranger District of the Uinta National Forest. The work shall be in accordance with the FP-03. Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, and as shown on the drawings. The work will include the demolition and disposal of the existing bridge (nail laminated timber deck, cast-in-place concrete abutments, and guard railing), structural excavation and backfill, soil erosion and pollution control, placement of riprap, reconstruction of cast-in-place abutments, construction and installation of pre-cast concrete double T beams and deck, installation of steel sheet pile wing walls with footings, paving of new bridge, and installation of new bridge and approach guard railing. Site visit is scheduled for July 27th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interested bidders will meet at the project site. The project is located on the Spanish Fork Ranger District of the Uinta National Forest, Juab County, Utah, in Section 16, T 12 S, R 2 E, Salt Lake Base Meridian. It is located approximately 7.5 miles Northeast of Nephi, Utah. The project may be accessed via State Highway 132 traveling about 5 miles east of intersection with I-15 to the intersection with the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway, Forest Road 015; thence north on Nebo Loop Scenic Byway 3.5 miles to intersection with Bear Canyon Road, Forest Road 048; and then about half a mile north on Bear Canyon Road to the bridge location. This solicitation is full and open competition with the project magnitude estimate of $250,000 and $ 500,000. This solicitation will be uploaded to this same website on approximately July 17, 2007 and proposals are due on August 16, 2007 at 4:30 p.m.
