- Description
- The Dept of Justice, Justice Management Division, Library Staff, intends to procure on a sole source basis, Congressional Hearings Digital Collection, Prospective Subscription Service from Lexis Nexis Academic Library Solutions. Lexis Nexis has been found to have the only vendor that provides the full text of Congressional hearings from 2004 to the present in PDF format in one database. In addition, each hearing record contains CIS indexing and abstracts that enables searchers to retrieve and locate hearings on any topic, bill, etc. Services under this synopsis must comply with the following Section 508 Accessibility Standards: 1194.22 Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications, 1194.31, Functional performance criteria, and 1194.41, Information, documentation and support (see http://www.section508.gov). Due to the proprietary nature of the subscription, this contractor has been found to be the only known source to perform this requirement. However, written quotes may be submitted stating ability to provide this service via the Internet. These quotes should be faxed (202 514-2785) or emailed to pat.makely@usdoj.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Quotations are due on July 6, 2007, by 5:00 PM E.S.T. Oral quotations will not be accepted.
