- The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (LSCDVAMC), 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 anticipates soliciting sources and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "PCAS Renovation" The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14--SEALED BIDDING; 38 U.S.C. 8127 (Public Law 109-461)--SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PROCUREMENT PROGRAM; and FAR Part 36--CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The project includes general trades construction, structural, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing construction and certain other items to renovate approximately 8,000 square feet on the first floor of the wade park medical facility. All work shall be performed during normal-hours shifts, with the exception of any work in the public corridors, which shall be performed as after-hours shifts. The project must be completed in accordance with VA specifications and drawings as well OSHA, NEC, NFPA, AND JCAHO REQUIREMENTS. The location of the work will be at the aforementioned address. The period of performance shall be 180 days. Magnitude of construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. NAICS Code: 236220 ($31,000,000) The solicitation documents will be issued on or about July 16, 2007. At such time, information will be provided regarding the obtaining of plans and specifications. A Site Visit is planned on or about Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM EST. Interested parties will meet in the Engineering Department-Room E33 (Located in the basement area.) Only one site visit is planned. Reservations not required in advance. Bids will be due on or about Thursday, August 16, 2007. This notice is not a request for submission of offers. No action is requested at this time. NOTE. THESE DATES ARE APPROXIMATIONS AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE DATES AND INFORMATION APPEARING IN THE SOLICITATION TAKES PRECEDENCE OVER THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
