- OFFADD: 42 CONS/LGCA 50 LeMay Plaza South Montgomery, AL 36112 SUBJECT: WHP Fire Training House additional equipment installation DUE: 10 July 2007 POC: A1C Paul Negrido, Contract Specialist, Phone: (334) 953-5036; Fax (334) 953-3527 DESC: 42 Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL is requesting information for WHP Fire Training House. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if WHP Fire Training House equipment is available from sources other than Jahnke & Sons Construction Inc. The Fire Training House equipment sought will have the following specifications: Expand current 2nd floor Burn Room to a total size of 10 feet 4 inches x 21 ft 11 inches, Disassemble existing wall and relocate to Form extended Room using Padgenite I (374 sq. ft total), Wire terminal strips and exterior Box to move pyrometer, Power Jamb Forcible entry devices installation, hardware and movable maze panels installation, spare padgenite I panels, two quarts each of chemicals I & II use to treat padgenite, smoke generator and distribution system installation, electrical panel installation. Please note that all items must match existing WHP equipment. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking. Final responses to this RFI will be due on 1600 hours (4pm), Central Standard Time (CST), on 10 July 2007. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
