- Description
- This notice serves as a combined pre-solicitation notice/procurement synopsis for the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) Air Intercept Missile (AIM)-120D Follow-On Operational Test and Evaluation (FOT&E) Support, Captive Carry Reliability Program (CCRP), Enhanced Director Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) Data, and Aircraft Integration Support. The 696th ARSS plans to award a Sole Source Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract with Raytheon Missile Systems Company to provide support on the AMRAAM AIM-120D. This effort is comprised of four (4) distinct tasks. The first is to provide the necessary technical support to the Operational Test community in the conduct of the AIM-120D operational testing. The second is to provide the necessary technical support associated with an AIM-120D captive carry reliability program. The third is to provide the additional/enhanced data requested by the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation. Finally, the fourth task is to provide the necessary technical services associated with integrating the AIM-120D on to the non-SDD USAF and USN aircraft. This effort requires access to Raytheon Company proprietary data, existing test equipment and production facilities. The period of performance is 48 months. As the AMRAAM is in current production, the 696th ARSS will not be able to provide government property/government special tooling/special test equipment/technical data package to any prospective new source. Therefore, the fulfillment of the supplies/services listed above requires substantial initial investment and an extended period of preparation. Anticipated date of letter of solicitation is on or about 28 Jun 07; date of closing response is on or about 27 Jun 07. This acquisition is contemplated sole source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)), to Raytheon Missile Systems Company, 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ 85706-9367. The date for response to this synopsis is forty-five (45) days after the date of this synopsis publication.
