- Description
- The Government has a firm requirement under FAR 15 for purchase and installation of a minimum of 710 each Ambulance Shelters at a rate of 60 per month between Aug 08 and Jul 09. The total potential requirement will be for delivery of between 710 and 1,500 shelters to be integrated with Government furnished High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs). This requirement will be placed on a 3-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract, utilizing the Firm Fixed Price Provision. Ear ly delivery of a GFM HMMWV will be provided the Shelter manufacturer to prove Shelter Prototype and FAT. The contractor will be required to identify and provide two years supply of spare parts to support shelter maintenance requirements and provide the a pplicable Technical Manuals/Technical Bulletins. This initial Ambulance Shelter effort is to support the Afghanistan immediate FMS requirement. The Shelter production and installation effort must be completed within the required delivery schedule provided in the solicitation.
