- Solicitation number W31P4Q-07-Q-0016 is being issued as a request for quote; however, the US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue a sole source contract to requirement for a one year subscription renewal for Janes Defense Equipment Lib rary, Janes Defense Magazine Library, Janes Defense Forecasts Military Aircraft Programs, Janes Helicopters Markets & Systems, Janes Space Directory, Janes Land Systems Image Library, Janes Warships Image Library, Janes Military Aircraft Image Libra ry, and Janes Air-Lauched Weapons Image Library provided by Janes Information Group. CLIN 0001 will be issued for a one year subscription renewal for the above mentioned databases. Shipping costs for delivery shall be included in the quote as FOB desti nation for Redstone Arsenal, AL. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, if received by 19 July 2007, noon (CST). Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all cla uses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The solicitation/ resulting contract include the following provisions/clauses: Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condit ions - Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. Offer is due not later than 12:00 noon, (CST), 19 July 2007, in the contr acting office, Building 5400, Room B148, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 35898-5250. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. local ti me on July 19, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed based upon res ponses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Electronic quotes are prefer red.
