- Ames Research Center, Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) has a requirement to develop and implement diversity services focusing on education and training, diversity skills and technique building, career enhancement, and organizational culture change. The contractor shall provide the following: 1) Assist in the continued preparation and development of Ames Research Center?s Diversity Program for organizational success. 2) Support ODEO in fulfilling its mission and specifically in responding to issues raised in its endeavor to enhance workforce diversity. 3) Implement an extensive emphasis on the training and skill building in the area of diversity. 4) Include continued development of the following major areas: Cross cultural communication. Listening and responsive techniques and skills. Cross cultural conflict resolution. Recognizing diversity driven misunderstangings Collaboration and collective thinking. Observation and injury. 5) Provide a program that continues to target the problem: systemic and individual deficiencies; the challenge: identification of systemic exclusion and individual barriers/bias; and the solution: expand the criteria for participation through a systemic process of inclusion. 6) Promote the importance of diversity and expand the concept of skill and technique building in diversity leadership and communication. 7) Provide a program with ten (10) sessions, with 20-25 participants meeting during the official week day. 8) Provide program curriculum developed into ten (10) modules covering one session per module. 9) Provide the ten (10) modules to support the overall mission of Ames Research Center. 10) Prepare a written developmental diversity training program plan, provide all necessary supportive instructional materials, facilitate all related dialogue sessions, and provide other documentation as requested by Ames when services are requested. The Contractor must meet the following requirements: 1) Familiar with a unique diversity skill technique building paradigm personalized for the Ames Diversity Program. 2) Familiar with diversity concepts at Ames, and have the expertise to develop and train employees in NASA diversity theories and concepts provided in the cross culture training done in Phase I. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from Stir Fry Seminars & Consulting of 2311 8th street, Berkeley, CA 94710-2310. Stir Fry Seminars & Consulting is familiar with the developed Diversity Initiative to support the Ames?s transition into a new area of technological excellence. Moreover, the contractor provides a professional developmental diversity service which enables employees to attain personal and organizational goals. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 6, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
