IT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES AND IS INFORMATIONAL ONLY. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (The Corps), Savannah District, seeks to determine the availability and adequ acy of potential 8(a) CONTRACTORS by small business category and geographic location or Corps Division to support acquisition of the requirements stipulated below.??Should acquisition of these requirements follow this market research effort, it will be con ducted by the appropriate means. The Corps of Engineers, Savannah District has a requirement for engineering and technical services to support the various applications that have been developed in the district in the past several years.??Requirement: COTS support : 1. Oracle Implementation/development (8i, 9i, 10g), a. Oracle Spatial/Locator , b. Oracle Application Server, c. Oracle MapViewer, d. Oracle Portal, e. Oracle UltraSearch, f JAVA, JSP, PL/SQL programming; 2. Bentley Systems, a. MicroSta tion, b. GeoGraphics w/Access, c. GeoGraphics w/Oracle, d. GeoGraphics w/Oracle Spatial, e. VB, VBA, MVBA, UC programming; 3. ESRI Implementation/Development, a. ArcView, b. ArcINFO, c. ArcGIS Desktop, d. ArcGIS Workstation, e. ArcSDE, f. ArcIMS, g. Enterp rise and Personal Geodatabases, h. ArcPad, i. ArcObjects, Avenue, AML programming Custom WEB Applications: a. ISIP (Intelligent Spatial Information Portal),Services will include continued development of the existing portal, DITSCAP documentation, on-site management, ability to project and work with multiple data projects within the port al, and data conversion.. b. KOROGIS (Enterprise GIS for Korea Regional Office), Services will include continued development for the enterprise GIS, DITSCAP documentation, on-site support, data collection/conversion, custom training and vendor based traini ng, CAD/GIS Interoperability, c. WEPS (WEB Excavation Permit System) Service will require maintaining the current application and/or deployment of the application elsewhere using Java or ASP. d. WSITE (Web Site Selection Tool) Service will require maintai ning the current application and/or deployment of the application elsewhere using Java or ASP., e. Java, JSP, ASP, HTML programming. Stand Alone Applications: Services will require maintaining existing applications or deploying at new sites. Each application may be VBA or .net. programming. a. Spatial Data Retrieval System (SDRS) for ArcGIS, b. Spatial Data Retrieval System (SDRS) for M icroStation, c. Facility Assessment Tool (FAST), d. dbQue for MicroStation. e. Custom applications for the IKE 304 GPS unit. GIS Support to Installations and Government Sites: Services will require providing implementation plans, providing training, collecting, cleaning, featurizing and evaluating data and create specialized themes, and digitizing maps or revising CADD drawing s. This work may be in various settings including Corps of Engineer offices, military installations, or civil works projects. A minimum of secret clearance will be necessary. However, all?interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their interest, capabilities (personnel, facility, equipment, schedule slots, and materials) and ability to meet all requirements stated above.??Firms responding to this notice must identify their companys capabilities to perform the requirements described herein and indicate whether or not they are an 8(a) Contractor, and the small business categories for which the y qualify.? The NAICS code for this action is 541330 with a corresponding Small Business size standard of $4.0-million annual receipts or less.??Also please identify the Corps Division(s) (e.g., South Atlantic Division - SAD, etc.) of interest to your firm .??The information receiv ed as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for various 8(a) small business categories.???A determination by the Corps not to open the requirement to competition, bas ed on response to this Announcement, is solely within the discretion of the Corps.???? Further, the Corps does not intend to pay for any information provided?under this sources sought.???If a solicitation were to go forward following this announcement, the Corps anticipates any award of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract(s) would ensue not earlier than October 2007.
