Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to construct renovations to the Wright-Dunbar Plaza and buildings that surround it. The majority of the work will focus on the entry way of the Aviation Trail building including a new vestibule, steel truss canopy, and window graphics. A fully ADA compliant accessible entrance ramp will be constructed from the plaza to the north entrance of the Wright Cycle Company building. Plaza rehabilitation includes resetting paver blocks, securing raised walls, replacing damaged concrete, and finish landscaping. A exterior exhibit graphic banner will be fabricated and secured on the south wall of the Hoover Block building. Also, work will be required in the plaza to grade, landscape, and lay pavers. The project performance period is 24 weeks after issuance of notice to proceed. The NAICS code is 238190. The small business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, bid schedule, and wage rates will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 18, 2007. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the Invitation for Bid package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
