Description

" General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. NAICS code is 238320. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Specifications and Drawings will be available in Adobe PDF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. " Proposed Issue Date of the Solicitation: July 18, 2007 " Title of Project: Pines Housing Cyclic Paint Maintenance " Description: This project is set-aside for small business. The project is located at the Grand Canyon National Park (GRCA), South Rim Village, The Pines / Havasupai housing area, Grand Canyon, AZ. The work consists of power washing, surface preparation, and two-coat staining to the entire exteriors, excluding roofs, of twenty-one (21) housing units and two (2) associated garages, including all siding, trim, soffits, rafter tails, porches, railings, columns, doors, decks, wood fencing, dumpster screens, gutter exteriors, metal grills and utility boxes, with an Option for four (4) additional similar housing units. " Type of Procurement: This procurement is limited to firms who meet the SBA standard as a small business. The Government anticipates award of a firm, fixed-price contract requiring submission of information about an offeror's past performance, its technical capability and its price. The Government will consider an offeror's past performance and its technical capability in comparison to its price. " Estimated price range: $200,000.00 to $ 350,000.00. " Time for completion: 45 calendar days after notice to proceed. " Proposal receipt date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time proposal documents are available. " All responsible small businesses may submit a timely offer that will be considered. The National Park Service encourages participation of disadvantaged, veteran owned business enterprises. " In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors may be asked to register their company with the Central Contractor Registration, website www.ccr.gov.
