Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F3ZT897164A100; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-17 and Defense DCN 20070531. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811118. The business size standard is $6.5 million. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is J028. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3443. This request for quotation consists of the following items: Item 0001: Qty, 2 EA, Clean and inspect Cummins KTA 50 Cylinder blocks as follows: Perform complete block inspection and generate inspection report; Descale and remove rust from blocks; Align hone main bearing bores; Align hone cam bearing bores; Final clean block; Install new cam bearing; NOTE: Contractor shall supply new OEM cam bearings only; Remove and install new galley plugs; Customer will provide the pick-up and delivery of cylinder blocks within a 50 mile radius of Travis AFB. The contractor shall provide transportation from Travis AFB, CA if over 50 miles. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
