Description

NOTICE OF INTENT - This requirement is for sole source procurement with (DR) Eric Yensen of the Albertson College of Idaho, Biology Department, 2112 Cleveland Blvd., Caldwell, Idaho 83605. Dr Yensen is a well-known species expert on Idaho ground squirrels and has been involved in recovery and conservation efforts for both subspecies for more than 20 years. His work on northern Idaho ground squirrels may include, but is not limited to, participation in the technical team meetings, document review (metapopulation site management plans), document preparation (grazing and habitat improvement study proposals), data review, participation in planning and conducting translocation efforts, and participation in other related workshops and meetings as requested and available. Work on southern Idaho ground squirrels may include, but is not limited to, review of survey protocols, participation in Boise zoo meetings/discussions relative to how to manage the population and enclosure, assist graduate students in study design, review study proposals and thesis manuscriptions for M.S. candidates, oversee M.S. students working on the species, and participate in other related meetings as requested and available. Interested parties must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments need. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available.
