- Description
- The following are questions and the answer to those questions that our office received for solicitation FSIS-27-B-07: QUESTION 1. We received your solicitation for a Lab Blender, but we were hoping to receive a little more detail as to the type of blender you will require. We were confused by your reference to a bag to hold 3,000 ml of liquid. Are you looking to agitate the bag in order to keep materials in suspension? ANSWER: Yes, the contents of the bag must be agitated for a specific amount of time in order to attain a homogenous mixture of food and liquid particles. QUESTION 2. I am contacting you in relation to your tender for a lab blender. We would like to submit a tender with our new automated homogenization system that we designed to compete with the lab blender and would appreciate the tender documents or address that we should send the quote to. ANSWER: USDA FSIS is only requesting a quote for a lab blender that meets the specification requirements. The address to where your quote is to be submitted is stated in the solicitation FSIS-27-B-07.
