- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair and Supply Center, Elizabeth city, NC proposes to extend Contract DTCG38-03-D-200011 for two (2) years. This contract is for Sustaining Engineering and Field Technical Support Services for the Rockwell Collins integrated avionics systems and avionics peculiar ground support equipment (PGSE) used on USCG HH65, HH60, HU25, and C130 aircraft. Services to be performed include maintenance analyses to investigate problems which may affect safety of flight conditions with regard to the equipment mentioned above, analyses and testing to define and determine the magnitude of problems and the recommended corrective actions including nonrecurring engineering, the generation of engineering change proposals, inspections and procedural changes. The Coast Guard also intends to purchase prototype and production items, which may arise from engineering efforts. Prototype and/or production items will be procured by delivery orders and negotiated individually. The contractor shall provide: engineering advice, information and training for Coast Guard personnel, logistical studies to support plans and life cycle cost data. The work under this contract requires the use of Rockwell Avionics Systems proprietary data. Rockwell Collins is the sole design authority and holds the proprietary rights to the drawings, specifications and data rights. The Coast Guard intends to negotiate a two-year extension to the existing contract with Rockwell Collins of Cedar Rapids, IA. Manufacturer?s specifications are not available and a solicitation will no be issued. Firms that believe they have the capabilities to provide the required services must submit a full capabilities statement by the closing date of this synopsis with their proposal demonstrating their ability to perform the required services on the specific aircraft including description of facilities, equipment, management, personnel and previous experience. Firms expressing their interests must show in their capabilities statement how access to data will be accomplished.
