- DESCRIPTION: AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED WITH CONTRACTING OF THIS PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FOR THIS PROJECT UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL AT NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Illiana Health Care System (HCS), located in Danville, Illinois is seeking the services of a qualified Architectural Engineering (A/E) firm for the Upgrade Medical Wards, Building 58 - 2nd & 3rd Floors, Project Number 550-305. The project will provide for the renovation of medical wards on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Building 58 (approximately 32,200 sf) to meet community standards providing private and semi-private patient rooms with attached baths. The existing floors will be gutted and completely renovated to improve the functionality of the overall floor plans. Upgrades will include the reconfiguration of the wards to enhance patient privacy and environment, installation of new/additional toilet facilities, wheelchair accessibility enhancements, work and traffic flow improvements, installation of new HVAC systems, accommodate technological changes, and provide new room finishes throughout. Prepare 100% complete working drawings and contract documents using VA Master Specifications (http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/spec_idx.asp ) to complete the work specified above. The estimated construction range is $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. Design reviews will be due at 30%, 60% and 95%. Final submission shall be due in 210 calendar days from notice to proceed. Selection criteria shall be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.602-1 and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 836.602-1. All interested firms are required to submit two (2) recent completed Standard Form (SF) 330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications (can be downloaded from the GSA Forms Library at: http://www.gsa.gov/Portal/gsa/ep/formslibrary.do?formstype=SF ), to: VA Illiana HCS, Attn: Project Section (138), 1900 E. Main St, Danville, Illinois 61832, no later than 3:00 p.m. (Local Time), Monday, Aug 6, 2007. Solicitation VA-251-07-RP-0105 has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses. NAICS Code 541330, Engineering Services, Size Standard of $4.5 million is applicable to this acquisition.
