- ***NOTICE - SITE VISIT SCHEDULED 10 JULY, 0900, BLDG 1240. REFERENCE PAGE 37 OF THE SOLICITATION. POC IS TERRI PARSON, 937-522-4523*** SOLICITATION NOTICE for FA8601-07-R-0040, Project 040025, Reroute Ash Piping, Facility 1240, Kittyhawk. Period of Performance is 180 days. The overall estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1M. The solicitation is an unrestricted acquisition, full-and-open competition. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-704 ?Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR),? Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr2000.com/index.cfm, or 1-888-CCR-2423 Fax: 1-703-696-0213. SCOPE OF WORK: This project involves the rerouting of ash re-injection into the coal boiler fire box to reduce the amount of ash manually cleaned out of the boiler. This project also corrects a safety issue with the removal of ash in this part of the system. The project involves demolition, replacement and reconfiguration of this complex system. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: Project will be of a relatively short duration and will have to be accomplished during the summer months when the Base High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) Central Steam Plant is shut down for the summer months. The contract must progress along a tight time table with many critical path tasks to allow heating system to be turned on in the fall of the year to over half of the facilities in Area A/C to include HQ AFMC , HQ 88ABW, NASIC, NAOC, Base Hospital and Visiting Quarters (VQs). No time extensions can be given for this contract for this critical utility system. NOTES: 1. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. You may, however, download and print the file from the web site. 3. There is no fee for this solicitation. 4. A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH. 5. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register, you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 6. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount. 7. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 by the proposal closing date specified in the solicitation. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. Proposals prepared by Debarred, Suspended, or otherwise ineligible contractors are at risk and expense of the contractor.
