- This is a COMBINED RFQ/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared by the National Park Service in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, and the use of Simplified Acquisition Test Program procedures as authorized by FAR 13.500, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Park Service contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract, as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation, to the offeror whose quote provides the best value to the Government. 2. The proposed contract is full and open competition to all business concerns. All responsible businesses may submit a quote which shall be considered by the National Park Service (NPS). 3. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. 4. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is N7140070027 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and will be awarded as a single award contract for Commercial Items. 5. The project is located within Big Thicket Fire Management Office in Woodville, Texas. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 336211 the size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-05. 6. Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) government system prior to award to be eligible for government contracts - the link can be found at http://www.ccr.gov. Liability Insurance-Department of the Interior 1452.228-70 4. EVALUATION OF COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The Government will award to the responsible offeror based on a. Experience/Past Performance and b. Price Reasonableness. 4. The Government reserves the right to award without discussion. 5. STATEMENT OF WORK Truck Specifications: International / Freightliner Type truck Standard Cab, 4x4 108" Cab to axle 33,000 GVWR 54,000 GCWR The Exhaust will be under the frame if possible, still waiting on truck specs. Please feel free to use your standard boxes to reduce cost. Our main concern is to be able to use our existing skid if possible without building a complete custom bed Bed Specifications: " 40,000 lb Pintle rated @6,000 lbs vert " 2" receiver hitch " Hooks for trailer safety chains " Air Brake (Glad-hands) attachments for trailer " LED brake and tail / clearance lights " Fold Down tailgate / workbench " Passenger side front top box would need to be open all the way through to the back of the same size driver's side box with sliding drawer to accommodate 5 gal. buckets etc. " Driver side needs open area for step up to our tanks and bottles " Boxes need to be 59" tall or standard size in that range " We would need tool drawers on the passenger side box (see drawing) and adjustable shelves on the remaining boxes " Spare tire area? " Our skid weighs approximately 6,500lbs (see drawing) " We will be towing 21,000lbs in weight on a 20 ton rated trailer that weighs 9,100 lbs " 7 Pole electrical plug for ABS trailer brakes " Bed will need a headache rack for overhead emergency lights " Work / scene lights 6. Contractors wishing to respond to this RFQ should provide this office with the following: A price quote on company letterhead for the requested services showing price, references, including names, addresses, and phone number of past projects of this type product within the past five years, proof of insurance, payment terms, correct remittance address; DUN'S Number; and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. 7. The offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers. 8.
