- The Naval Air Systems Command is planning an acquisition to provide all logistics services and materials for organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance required to support and maintain a total of seventy-one (71) T-45A and one hundred eight (108) T-45C aircraft. Seventy-one (71) T-45A and thirty (30) T-45C are based at NAS Kingsville, TX; sixty-nine (69) T-45 aircraft are stationed at NAS Meridian, MS; and nine (9) T-45C aircraft are located at NAS Pensacola, FL. Additionally, outlying support will be required at Meridian Regional Airport, Key Field, MS; Bravo Field, MS; NALF Orange Grove, TX; Corpus Christi International Airport, TX; and Pensacola Regional Airport, Pensacola, FL. The Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) effort also includes off-site flight line support and maintenance for the T-45 aircraft in support of ship-based Carrier Qualification Detachments (CQ Dets), and CNATRA approved shore-based detachments. Off-site maintenance support shall also be required for the T-45 at off-site shore-based locations when any T-45 aircraft is not Ready for Training (RFT). T-45TS is a fully integrated training system used for training officers in the Undergraduate Jet Pilot Training (UJPT) Program, the officers in the Undergraduate Military Flight Officer (UMFO) Program, as well as Instructors Under Training (IUT) who will conduct training for the officers assigned to the UJPT and the Naval Flight Officer (NFO)/Undergraduate Military Flight Officer (UMFO) programs. The T-45 ?Goshawk? aircraft is a derivative of the British Aerospace ?Hawk.? It has two SJU-17 Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seats (NACES) in tandem with zero-zero capability and is powered by a single Rolls-Royce (RR) F405 turbofan engine. The airframe is constructed primarily of aluminum with a conventional frame/stringer/stiffener structure with moderately swept wings. The aircraft has been modified to make it carrier capable. This acquisition will be a five year services contract consisting of one base year and four option years commencing 1 October 2008 and ending 30 September 2013. It is anticipated that a draft of the proposed solicitation will be available on or about 1 October 2007 with the final solicitation released on or about 20 December 2007. A Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit is planned for early January 2008. Continue to monitor this website for updated information as it becomes available. Please note that all prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov in order to participate in this procurement.
