- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Acquisition Operations Service in Washington, DC intends to procure a replacement telephone system comprising a complete digital/analog voice telephone Private Branch Exchange (PBX) with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Oklahoma City (OKC) OK, its satellite Out Patient Clinic (OPC) in Lawton OK and its metropolitan OKC sites. The PBX platform offered for the sites in this procurement must be fully functional and feature-wise compatible with the predominant PBX platform in VISN 16. It is required that a (redundant) PBX be installed at the Medical Center, a survivable IP-connected remote shelf at the Lawton OPC, IP-connected survivable remote shelves be installed at 3 metro OKC locations, an IP-connected survivable remote shelf be installed at the Medical Center (at a location remote from the PBX room), and a "Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to the desktop" solution for selected smaller metro OKC sites. The basic requirement is for an on-premise, digital/analog voice PBX. Attendant console functionality shall be provided as an Automated Call Distribution (ACD) operation rather than the traditional console operation. Voice mail, automated attendant (call processing), ACD, and Emergency Call Back Functions are required. Call Detail Recording (CDR) functionality shall be provided through inclusion with the existing VISN 16 centralized MTS IntegraTRAK system. Trunk Traffic Analyses (including VoIP trunks) functionality will be accomplished by integrating OKC trunk utilization data into the existing VISN 16 Centralized Traffic Analysis function. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) functions must be supported for both trunks and end user devices. The PBX shall be designed to provide continuous intra-VA voice and data (VoIP) service. It is anticipated the solicitation will be available on or before July 27, 2007.
