Description

Questions/Answers for Solicitation W911RZ-07-R-0014 1. Have Ft. Carson military personnel previously applied the approximate 30% magnesium chloride/surfactant blend or was the application done by a private contractor? Answer: The service was previously performed by a contractor. 2. Will the successful bidder receive payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) immediately upon delivery of the submission of the product invoice? Answer: The Contractor may be paid by either DFAS or by Credit Card. The Contractor should specify which payment method they prefer in their proposal. The invoice may be submitted to the contracting office and the COR upon completion of the services requ ested in the delivery order. The COR then has 3 days to submit a form DD250. Once that form has been completed and sent to DFAS (or to the Contracting Office if by credit card), the invoice will be paid within 30 days. 3. What are the typical widths for the dirt roads? Answer: Roads are typically 20 - 30 feet across depending on the location (with or without the shoulder). A standard lane is around 12 feet. 4. Is there a water source available to the contractor? What cost? Answer: No. The contractor shall apply a surfactant simultaneously with the Mag Chloride (therefore no pre-water will need to be applied).
