- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a purchase order for commercial items to the General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Supply Service (FSS) schedule contractor: Merlin Technical Solutions, Inc. This purchase order will be made on a sole source basis under the Authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The solution will be installed on all IRS laptop and desktop computers, both connected to the IRS network and also standalone. The purchase order will be fulfilled by the delivery of Consulting Services and Software Enterprise Licenses. The licenses will be used for removable media technology, such as CD/DVD and USB. The Enterprise Disk Encryption (EDE) project has a mandate to deliver a solution to meet the Removable Media encryption as stipulated by OMB-06-016 Directive. Merlin Technical Solutions, Inc. will provide both aspects of encryption technology for hard drive and removable media; technical integration support and consulting support. EDE will require on-site support to leverage the full capability of the tool suite and to help with configuration, integration, and implementation. Merlin Technical Solutions, Inc. will potential provide on-going software maintenance for option years at the discretion of the IRS. Interested parties that are able to provide the required service must clearly state their capabilities and experience in writing. Proposals must include price, terms, conditions and point of contact name, telephone number, email address and fax number, government contact number (if applicable), performance period, business size, payment terms, tax payer identification number, and Bradstreet number. Responses to this notice must be received by this office within 10 business days of the date of publication by noon EST, on July 23, 2007. All responses must be technically acceptable to the government. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED.
