- Reference #: CMT81207045 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Contracting Division, Net-Centric Services Branch, Hardware/Software Section (DITCO/PL8322), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to SBC Global Services, 12851 Manchester, St. Louis, MO. 63131, via combined/synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be available. This acquisition is for the purchase of a Nortel Phone Switch Upgrade and maintenance services for DITCO. The requirement is for the Upgrade of Nortel Option 81c Telephone Switch System and Upgrade the Switch with new hardware and software located at DITCO bldg 3600, for the period 15 July 2007- 30 September 2007. THIS IS SOLE SOURCE DUE TO THE FACT THAT SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELECOM AT&T INSTALLED AND CURRENTLY MAINTAINS THE CURRENT PBX TELEPHONE SWITCH IN DITCO AND THE DISA-CONUS. SBC AT&T is also the local exchange company providing all DITCO telephone incoming and outgoing trunk connectivity through the Scott AFB phone switch to the DITCO PBX switch. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting clear evidence of their capability to provide/perform. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
