- This project is 100% set-aside for Socially and Economically Disadvanated Business Concerns (SEDB). Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB) competing on this acquisition shall be in good standing with the Small Business Administration. Certification documents are required for award consideration. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work includes, but is not limited to: Removal, disposal, and replacement of the existing roof systems with a new 80 mil TPO single-ply, mechanically fastened roofing system fully warranted by the manufacturer. All required vapor barrier material, insulation, pitch pans, crickets, scuppers, drains (new collars, strainers, & covers), curbs and flashing, penetration flashing, protection board, parapet wall membrane, curb coping, and cap flashing shall be provided. New insulation and protection board shall be installed, and a new single-ply roof membrane and flashing system installed. Polyisocyanurate insulation and additional material shall be used to provide an R30 roof and to insure that the roof slope is at least ?? inch per foot to the roof drains and scuppers. Densdeck protection board shall be mechanically fastened over the Insulation and a new 80 mil reinforced TPO single-ply mechanically fastened roof system and flashing shall then be installed. This project also includes removal, protection, and reinstallation of existing lightning protection cables and rods; removal and reinstallation of perimeter lights (conduit, junction boxes, and fixtures); installation of new walkpads per manufacturers requirements from roof access ladders and hatchs to all equipment and perimeters requiring maintenance access. The contractor shall provide a complete roof membrane system fully warranted for 20 years by the manufacturer. SITE VISIT: A mandatory site visit will be held on August 16th, at 10am (MST). Due to security requirements at the facility, contractors must submit the name of the company, and all individuals planning to attend the site to the Contracting Officer within 2 calendar days prior to the site visit. Submit information by fax or by email. The FAA may make an award without communications or negotiations; however, communications and/or negotiations may be conducted to determine the best value to the FAA. The FAA also reserves the right to cancel or terminate this RFO/Solicitation at any time before, during or after the closing date.
