- Description
- VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN will be accepting sealed bids on or about August 24, 2007. This Invitation for Bid is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). NAICS Code 238390, size standard $13.0 mil applies. This project has a magnitude construction range between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment material and labor to accomplish the following per contract specifications and drawings. A-Wing: Work includes replacing window glass of a number of windows as indicated on construction drawings. The current aluminum window frames will remain in place and be utilized by new glazing. Above the 4th floor surgery windows insulation will be added as indicated on the construction drawings. This will require the removal of drywall, installation of insulation, and then installation of new drywall. Each exterior wall that will receive window replacement will be re-caulked as needed from ground level to 6th floor to maintain a water tight seal. C-Wing: Contractor is to strip all old caulking from the windows and lintels of the C-wing of the building starting on the northwest corner and progressing around the building in a clockwise direction from top down. All the windows will be re-sealed and re-caulked careful to not caulk the weep holes closed. Internal walls where water has created damage below windows shall be repaired to match existing surrounding space. All this work is located at the VA Medical Center 1481 West Tenth Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Time completion : 210 days from Notice to Proceed. Bidders are reminded that all work shall take place in a healthcare environment and must conform to all applicable codes and standards for the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as state, local and Federal requirements. Bids will be publicly opened at place and time to be specified in the invitation. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for August 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m., at VAMC, 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202, Engineering Bldg. 5. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Amendments will be posted through FedBizOpps. Bidders are advised that no contract will be awarded to any firm not listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
