Response date has been extended to 16 July 2007 02:00:00 PM. Eastern Daylight Timefrom. The follwoing is a list of all questions and answers requested. 1. According to the request, offers are to be made 7/12/07 and the start date for the contract is 7/16/07, is this correct? Yes-This has now been revised to work shall beging no later than 5 days after receipt of order. 2. Is there a current staff/contractor in place staffing these posts? Would the AFB want to retain these people? No, N/A 3. If there is no staff in place will the government allow for a phase-in period to obtain required medical testings, clearances, background checks, training etc.? NO- RFQ clearly states this must be met prior to performance. 4. The solicitation documents state that the facility will not sponsor the security company for DISCO clearance, but it also says that it is not required to bid, but must be obtained within a certain amount of days from start? Will the government reconsi der the sponsorship? NO- The contractor does not require a facilities clearance, personnel must have at a minimum an interim secret clearance PRIOR to performance. 5. Do the officers work on holidays? No. Federal Holidays are excluded from work. The period of performance shall begin within 5 days after receipt of order.
