Description: The U. S. Geological Survey, Leetown Science Center in Kearneysville, WV has a requirement for the dredging of the "K" Pond. This pond is used for effluent discharge from sewage plant, Leetown Science Center and the USDA National Cool and Cold Water Research Center. It has not been dredge since 1985 causing a build up of approximately 4-5' of mud and silt. THERE IS NO SEWAGE IN THE POND. The dredging work shall last approximately 10-14 days. A site visit will be held on July 18, 2007 at 10:00am. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF THREE (3) VERIFIABLE REFERENCES THAT HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR CAPABILITIES TO PERFORM THIS OR SIMILAR WORK. THE GOVERNMENT WILL MAKE ITS SELECTION BASED EQUALLY ON PRICE AND PAST PERFORMANCE. Deadline for responses to this RFQ is 4:00pm EST on July 24, 2007. This is a Small-Business Set Aside. The NAICS Code for this project is 562998, All Other Miscellaneous Waste Management Services. The anticipated award date is July 25, 2007.
