- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase the following services: NUWCDIVNPT generates numerous waste streams. One or more of these waste streams may require sampling, sample preparation and analytical testing to properly characterize the wastes and disposal options at its facilities in Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. Other sampling and analytical requirements arise for renovation, remodeling and demolition work, and certain water quality parameters pertaining to utility provided water from various points throughout the base and its regional offsite facilities. Proper analysis of samples provided, documented sample preparation, analytical test procedures, and statistical analysis will be required. The contractor shall be certified to provide the required analysis in Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York, exclusive of New York City. NAICS code is 541380, size standard is $6.5M. This is 100% small business set-aside. Further details will be provided in RFQ #N66604-07-Q-1072, which will be released on or about 07/23/2007. Period of performance will be one base year and four option years. Evaluation factors will be technical capability, price and past performance.
