The Public Buildings Service?s Greater Southwest Region Acquisition Services Division (7PMA) of the General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking proposals from firms that are interested in establishing an Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract for Fire Protection Consulting Services. Fire Protection Consulting Services include, but are not limited to: fire protection surveys, pre-lease surveys, risk analysis, and related additional services such as advanced training, fire investigations, plan and specification reviews, and final acceptance testing. Services will be performed at facilities owned or leased by GSA in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. The Contracting Officer will place orders for services as needed. Be advised that services may be requested in multiple locations concurrently. This is NOT a small business set aside. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED FILE FOR CRUCIAL DETAILS AND INSTRUCTIONS. The deadline for proposals is 8:00AM EST on Monday, April 23, 2007. The address for the submission of proposals is found on page 2 in Block 7 of the attached solicitation. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Point of Contact for this solicitation is Paul Price, Contracting Officer, paul.price@gsa.gov or 817.978.0439. Questions and Answers: Question 1: Will the Government pay for travel time? Answer to Question 1: The Government will pay for travel time. However, the hourly rate will be negotiated on a per task order basis and is expected to be less than the loaded hourly rate. Considerations will be items such as, type of discipline traveling, travel time, etc. Feel free to submit a flat hourly “travel” rate for each of your proposed discipline. Question 2: Can you provide an estimate of how many building surveys will be needed each year? Answer to Question 2: There is no guaranteed number of surveys that will be needed. However, in the past, we have required surveys for approximately 15 – 30 buildings per year. These buildings can be high-rises or border stations.
