Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is AG-7MN1-S-7-0004 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set-aside; The NAICS is 333111, business size standard in number of employees is 500. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, requests one grain drill. Drill must meet the below minimum requirements. Drill must be delivered within 30 to 60 days from date of award. Required characteristics (minimum) 15 ft working width 3-point hitch 7.5 inch row spacing with 24 openers. Openers must have cut off capability. Seed meters using seed plates: cotton, grain sorghum, corn, wheat, and soybean seed plates must be available. To be purchased with 12 seed plates for cotton and 12 seed plates for grain sorghum. Heavy duty openers, with up to about 500 lbs of down force; 15-in diameter 4-mm thick disc blades; 1/2 in offset blades. Wedge press wheels with seed firmer. Capable of planting into no-till and/or minimum till fields 12 coulters with capability to attach directly onto openers Population monitor Fertilizer kit Price to include delivery. The drill shall be delivered to the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, CPRL, 2300 Experiment Station Road, Bushland, TX 79012. Each offeror shall include their proposed delivery schedule as part of their quotation. Acceptance and FOB point are destination. In order to be considered for award offerors shall provide a quotation on company letterhead detailing the unit pricing and five references for the proposed item. References must have received the proposed item within the last three calendar years (Government references preferred but will accept commercial references) shall also be provided for the item quoted.
