Description
R6-27-07-194 Fire Training L 381 Courses This is a standing solicitation that shall remain open until the government has adequate L381 course providers to fill the government?s current needs, estimated to be from between 2 to 4 providers. The solicitation period is continuous and will contain contracts with varying periods that commence on the date of award for the original awardee (s) (DOA) and expire three years from the original closing date of the solicitation. All awards shall end on the same date irregardless of the individual contractor?s DOA. All contracts will be indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts with a $5000 guaranteed minimum for the contract period. All course providers shall attain NWCG course approval before award can be made. Information on this process may be found at http://www.fireleadership.gov/. CCR and ORCA registrations required. The L-381 training experience should provide leaders of Divisions, Groups, or Type 3 incidents with the leadership tools to effectively exert command and control over a quickly assembled team in a time constrained and rapidly changing incident environment. Beyond a set of tools and techniques, this training experience should be designed to make an emotional and lasting impact. Essential guiding principles for achieving this impact include: enhancing the students understanding of the human dimension when leading others in dynamic work environments; utilizing experiential training techniques that will engage students in ways that challenge them to perform under realistic and high-stress situations; and motivating students to examine their role as a leader and their strengths and weaknesses as a leader. Minimum Course Length 32 class contact hours (prework assignment does not count toward this total). The NAICS code for this solicitation is 611430. Solicitation is set aside for small business.
