- REQUIREMENT BEING REEVALUATED - CANCEL SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIRETY The US Forest Service, Wayne National Forest, has a requirement to establish an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity, multi-year supply contract for purchase and delivery of various aggregates, stone, rip-rap and shot rock. Delivery locations are throughout the Athens and Ironton Ranger Districts including the counties of Athens, Hocking, Perry, Vinton, Washington, Monroe, Scioto, Jackson, Lawrence, and Gallia. The contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, and incidentals necessary to supply aggregates, stone, rip-rap and shot rock to the FS at the locations and under the conditions specified in the solicitation. The Wayne National Forest contains approximately 316 miles of single lane (including turnouts/turnarounds) aggregate, improved native, and native surfaced roads and 35 miles of two lane aggregate, improved native, and native surfaced roads; 158 gates. Typical roads contain an average of 2 or 3 culverts or drainage dips per mile, and approximately 4 sign posts per mile. Typical roads also have at least one roadside ditch the full length of each mile of road. Most roads are located in forested areas with heavy vegetation beside and overhead of roads. The requirement will be awarded as a fixed price multi-year contract. The requirement is for a base period of one year and four one-year option periods with a guaranteed minimum of $2,500.00 for the base period only. The maximum value for the base year and each option period is $250,000.00 per year with a maximum value for the base and all option years of $1,250,000.00. The government may make multiple awards with a minimum of one award per ranger district. Offers may be submitted for the Athens Ranger District, the Ironton Ranger District, or both Ranger Districts. The requirement is being solicited following Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13.5 ? TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. The NAICS is 212312 with a small business size of 500 Employees. This solicitation will ONLY be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website: http://www.eps.gov/. It is anticipated that the requirement documents will be uploaded on-or-about March 21, 2007. Copies of the specifications, drawings and wage rates will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS along with the solicitation document. Offers will be due no later than 2:00 local time on April 12, 2007. A pre-solicitation meeting will be scheduled to be held at the Athens Ranger District Office, the actual date will be cited in the solicitation document.
