Description

This work includes, but is not limited to the removal of existing horns and combination horn/strobe units and the installation of new speakers, strobes, notification appliance circuit driver panels and amplifier panels in buildings 208, 210, 211, 212 , 220, 230 and 240. In addition to aforementioned work, building 212 E shall require the removal of the existing Kingfisher fire alarm panel and the installation of a new Simplex 4100U fire alarm panel and fiber optic connections back to the nearest commu nication room where the fire alarm system in building 212E will be connected to the existing island communication network. The upgrades to the fire alarm system in the aforementioned buildings will allow the new and existing Simplex 4100U fire alarm panel s to operate as a mass notification system to alert building occupants in the event of a fire, tornado, bomb threat, or other emergency where information needs to be readily communicated to the building occupants. The rough order of magnitude for this pr oposed procurement is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, NAICS code 238210/13.0M. The solicitation, plans and specifications will be available o n or about 31 July 2007. The solicitation and specification will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
