- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-07-Q-3767. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following item: High Temperature Gas Blower Qty. 1 The high temperature blower must meet the required operating specifications for roughly 1000 hours of stable run time. It must operate at 700-800 C and handle a nominal gas stream composed of 50% H2, 7% CO, 3% CO2, and 40% steam. The maximum gas flow rate must be at least 100 SLPM for this test, preferable up to 200 SLPM, with a turn-down ratio of 5 to 2. A pressure drop of at least 1 psi should be achievable, and delivery is expected by September 2007. Also, a technical manual must accompany the device for detailed operating and safety instructions.
